Sims 3 Wood Fired Oven Store Fix
Best Answer: It's probably bugged sadly, you're going to need to check you're CC's (custom contents) if you have any or Mods to make sure their updated or not corrupting your game. But if you have none then look up 'Store fixes' a lot of sim sites have them like Modthesims, etc. Hopefully it can fix this problem but If it doesn't just contact EA hopefully they'll help you out. Also, make sure to check all around the oven to make sure there aren't any objects that might be blocking your path from another room.
I find myself having trouble getting to a path sometimes when using the cheat, 'moveObjects on' and it sometimes block other objects. Here are literally thousands of organized woodworking projects in a members area and all you have to do is get them off your computer any time you want.

This in regards to the issue that some of us have had where the Monte Vista woodfire oven would give us the 'no interactions available' notification after hovering over or clicking on it, causing the object to become useless. So, I saved my games, library files, saved Sims, etc., and regenerated a new The Sims 3 folder in My Documents by placing the old one elsewhere, and I re-installed all my Store CC and added my saved files back in. I tried different combinations, with and without third-party mods/CC, with and without Store items, with and without saved files, and the woodfire oven worked perfectly in each combination until I deleted the DCBackup folder. Then, it gave me the issue again.
I restored the deleted DCBackup folder and replaced it with the newly generated one, and the oven worked again! I used to always delete the DCBackup folder periodically because of how large the size could become, thinking that maybe it would slow down my game (I'm not sure if that's actually true or just a myth). After all, I had never had any issues before after deleting that folder. Perhaps the ones who aren't having this issue are the ones who haven't deleted that folder? This is just a suggestion. To the ones who are having this issue, maybe you should try this solution to see if it worked for you? The 'resetSim' cheat didn't work for me, as suggested by a few members here, so that might not work for others as well.

Good luck, and post here if it worked or didn't work for you. You're welcome!
And thank you for that link! That'll help me out a lot. EDIT: This link below, found from the one that Reachsims provided above, explains the DCBackup folder even further. Apparently, deleting the ccmerged.package file is known to negatively affect premium content due to that file containing special moodlets, skills, and other functionality pertaining to each premium content you have installed.
This could very well be what has been causing the aforementioned issue with the woodfire oven. So, maybe it was that file that I had deleted and not necessarily the other generated files? I have the ccmerge file in dcbackup and the pizza oven still doesn't work. I don't mess around with the files. I just don't understand why it gives me no interaction available. The only thing I did was install monte vista and the pizza oven won't work.
What's wrong with the oven and how can I fix this to make it work? Is EA going to make a patch for this problem? There is no way in hell I am going to uninstall everything and reinstall, I don't have time for all that. I work all the time and the rare times I get to play my sims this is what happens. Not cool at all. Really angry!
I have tried what the original author suggested and my oven still does not work. I also recently uninstalled my game for other reasons and put it back on again. Oven still does not work. Uninstalled the Monte Vista world and redownload it again, oven still does not work. My wedding cake does not work either.
Please do no tell me to read anything the dam thing should work when you buy it. NO, I am not going to mess with the files so it can mess my game up again. In short I have better things to do, not buying premium items from the store again. It's simple: 1. Download the ccmerged.zip linked at the bottom of this post: 2. Go to Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 3 DCBackup 3.
Rename ccmerged.package to ccmerged.package.old 4. Unzip the ccmerged.zip to Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 3 DCBackup 5.
Delete the scriptcache.package in Documents Electronic Arts The Sims 3 Start your game and play with your oven. The interactions break because the game cannot find the recipes for the oven. The game can't find the recipes for the oven because the ccmerged.package is incomplete, missing, empty, or corrupted. There are many things that can break the ccmerged.package, including the Launcher just not properly creating the file, or the file being deleted. Just because you have a ccmerged.package doesn't mean your ccmerged.package is complete. In fact, if you have premium content installed, you will always have a ccmerged.package as the game will create one if you don't have it. However, this ccmerged.package will be empty, and therefore, broken.

If your ccmerged.package is broken, you can't fix by just re-installing over the current installation. You have to either uninstall the object/world, or use a clean Sims 3 folder to generate the ccmerged.package. When the launcher sees that an object is already installed, it doesn't update the ccmerged.package. You can keep that folder small by installing around 300 mb per time via the launcher. When the files inside it become to big the game generates a new one.
When you install stuff to fast the launcher doesn't close the fil right so when the installation is done some files aren't there (this also causes the uninstalled items for some people) when you install the next thing the launcher generates a new file in that folder, because it thinks the last one is full, but it isn't so the files become bigger and bigger and become corrupted. Deleting those files is a good way to make the game faster, but the files also hold most of the store content. So when you delete you also delete info that the game needs for that object. My problem is, I never get to make any perfect quality foods with this oven even though I tried about 100 times.:-o I reinstalled it several times, and even tested without mods in new games, I experimented on different households and worlds. My main sims make everything in perfect quality, including foods they make with the Teppanyaki grill. I have all the ingredients in perfect quality, too.

I also have the Kelvin fridge. All my sims are in cooking skill level 10 or 9 (some of them learned after I installed the oven) and some of them have the natural born cook lifetime reward. And I know we can't delete the ccmerged file.So it's weird.
