For many years, grown-ups and kids have wandered through corn, petted animals and bought future jack-o'-lanterns at the Central Oregon Pumpkin Co. 's pumpkin patch.

The fall season is winding down here at Smith Rock Ranch with our final weekend starting tomorrow! We will be open Friday the 27th noon-6pm for activities with the maze staying open till 7pm, Saturday the 28th is open 10am-6pm with the maze staying open till 7pm, and lastly our final day is Sunday the 29th on which we will be open 10am-6pm with all activities closing at 6pm.

The exotic animals will be available for viewing and petting Saturday and Sunday at the Animal House starting at noon both days. We will be completely closed for the season after Sunday the 29th.

Halloween is almost here and we still have many pumpkins for you and your family to choose from! On October 28th and 29th at noon the Animal House will be hosting a mixture of exotic animals will be available for petting and viewing within the large animal area. Some of our guests include: Patagonia cavy, swans, reptiles, varying types of birds, and many more! Come pet and enjoy these wonderful animals!

This is just a temporary addition to the Animal House so don't miss out! Cost is the usual 1 token at the door of the Animal House. Activity Price information: Tokens are $3.00 each and are required for most weekend activities. Canine Nose Work Demonstration October 13 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm This demonstration is through Friends for Life Dog Training based in Redmond Oregon. It will be featuring some of the current students from their K9 nose work class working their dogs through an obstacle course where they must find the scents distributed through pumpkins and hay bales. Enjoy watching the dogs search as their handlers walk them through the course! You will also have the opportunity to meet with the instructor if you have any questions our would like to join in this fun sport with your dog! We are opening our parking lot on August 21st for eclipse viewing! Come enjoy the eclipse views from our ranch or from Smith Rock State Park as there is a trail head right across the road! Gates open at 6:00 am and close at 4 pm, prices are $40 per car/truck and $60 for RV/campers/trailers. Due to reasons beyond our control we have canceled the previous festivities advertised and so we are offering day use ins.

Fees are to be paid at the gate, cash only please! If you still need eclipse glasses then please send an email to smithrockrancheclipse2017@gmail.com, and we can set aside a pair for you. We are offering them at.75 cents a piece to be paid at the gate. On another note- the Smith Rock Ranch Website is currently under construction and will be up for viewing soon! Fall is also around the corner and we are gearing up for a fun filled season!

October festivities will be opening September 30th and go through October 29th! This years maize theme is a tribute to 130 years of Sherlock Holmes, thanks to author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle! We hope to see you all there and enjoy the eclipse!
